EXERCISE #4

Cultures play an important role in the way people live their life. Each person's lifestyle is significantly impacted by customs and traditions of the cultural they live in. Codes of manners, language, dress codes, religion, standards of behavior like morality and law as well as arts are all called ways of life for an entire society, which in another word means a cultural. Making life choices can be affected by the cultural of the community for example; the Amish have been using horse-drawn power as a way of transport. They also believe in the simple family-center way of life that holds a particular fascination and still live like their ancestors despite the time that has been passed and the changes. Among their priorities; family and farms considered to be the top ones. Faith is what the Amish are loyal for the most; they think that the changes in the world can have influences that might be destructive to their lifestyle and keep them away from God. Some of the old Amish groups called ‘old order’ believe in no electricity and media forms like telephones and radios in their homes by keeping family and farms in a rural environment. Amish cultural also have an impact on clothing and dresses, for example, wearing modest clothes that have long sleeves and a full skirt.

Examples from your experience / studies

My Arabic culture influences me when making decisions of what dress and clothes I supposedly wear in public places like our traditional dresses kandura and ghutra and whether is it appropriate to wear different clothes that are not part of my cultural in formal environments.

For some Arabic families; marriage choices can be impacted by the culture and customs of the family for both genders; Believing that a male would marry a woman within their lifestyle and living standers.
Family and horror of forefathers have been among the priorities in our cultural because of their endurance and sacrifices to keep their country and family in peace and prosperity
